    • “Somewhere between Białystok and Wasilków”

      Organizer: Tour Guides Club at RO PTTK in Białystok
      It was an open walk within the framework of Tour Guides Club action called “Discover Białystok with Tour Guide”. My idea was to show to the audience interesting sites at the suburban area of Białystok – historic water pressure tower, Jaroszówka wilderness and beautiful religious paintings of Krzysztof Koniczek in the church at Wyżyny district.
    • “Through Podlasie by train. Sidra”

      Organizer: Tour Guides Club at RO PTTK in Białystok
      It was the train trip from Białystok to Sidra, a small village in easter part of Podlaskie voivodeship. Then we had a walk through its historical remnants. After 4 hours walk we returned by train back to Białystok.

 

    • “Historical walk – Spouses from Białystok II”

      Organizer: INTEGRA Psychotherapy and Psychoeduaction Studio in Białystok (Pracownia Psychoterapii i Psychoedukacji INTEGRA w Białymstoku)
      It was an open walk within the framework of International Marriage Week. We walked near the places related to 2 historical known spouses living in Bialystok: Sender and Małka Bloch – jewish rich manufacturers living in Bialystok in XIXth century and Bohdan and Zofia Ostromęccy – doctor and a teacher living in Bialystok in first quarter of XXth century. During a walk we visited museum in the oldest Bialystok’s school located at Warszawska street 8.

 

    • “Trails of famous spouses from Białystok – historical and romantic walk”

      Organizer: INTEGRA Psychotherapy and Psychoeduaction Studio in Białystok (Pracownia Psychoterapii i Psychoedukacji INTEGRA w Białymstoku)
      It was an open walk within the framework of International Marriage Week. We walked near the places related to 4 historical famous or known spouses living in Bialystok: Stanisław and Placyda Bukowscy – architect and artist, Jan Klemens and Izabela Braniccy – owners of the city in second half of XVIIIth century, Sokrat and Tatiana Janowicz – belarussian writer and his wife and muse, Krzysztof and Aleksandra Wiesiołowscy – owners of Białystok in first half of XVIIthe century. Short but comprehensive report from the walk was published by local belarussian magazine “Czasopis”.

 

    • “Białystok Districts – Nowe Miasto”

      Organizer: Tour Guides Club at RO PTTK in Białystok
      It was an open walk within the framework of Tour Guides Club action called “Discover Białystok with Tour Guide”. My idea was to show to the audience quite new district of Bialystok called New City (Nowe Miasto) founded just before second world war on the land belonging earlier to Słoboda village. I also tried to discover history of neighbouring estate called Bażantarnia, based on archival documents. Report from the walk was published by one of the participants.

 

    • “From tobacco drying houses and clearcutting chapels land to Augustów”

      Organizer: PTTK in Białystok, Regional Brunch
      It was an open bus tour arranged by me and Aneta Cich, a tour guide from Augustów. During tour we showed to the audience interesting land near Biebrza river historicaly called “Jaminy Wilderness”, full of tobacco wooden drying houses and original house shaped wooden chapels. We visited wooden church in Jaminy, Mogilnice – village with biggest number of wooden drying houses, private museum of Aleksander and Maria Godlewski in Jaziewo. We stopped also near lock at Augustów channel in Sosnowo and in Gabowe Grądy – village inhabited by orthodox Oldbelievers. Our last place was Augustów city, where the audience was guided by Aneta Cich. Tour ended with the dinner in iconic “Albatros” restaurant in Augustów.

 

    • “Scot at Branicki’s court i.e. Augustyn Mirys and his paintings located in Podlasie”

      Organizer: Tour Guides Club at RO PTTK in Białystok
      It was an open bus tour arranged by me and Iwona Zinkiewicz, a tour guide specializing in orthodox churches architecture and art. Tour was dedicated to Augustyn Mirys, scottish painter working in Bialystok for Jan Klemens Branicki’s court in second half of XVIIIth century. During tour we visited the places where art of Augustyn Mirys can be seen and other interesting sites. It was white church in Bialystok, where main altar painting of Mirys titled “Assumption of Blessed Mary” is located; museum of material culture “Baćkauszczyna” in Ryboły, church dedicated to Birth of Blessed Mary and Saint Nicolaus in Bielsk Podlaski, built in XVIIIth century, where main altar painting of Augustyn Mirys titled “Blessed Mary visiting Elisabeth” and some side altar paintings of Mirys are located. After that we went to Nowoberezowo, to visit very interesting wooden orthodox church with old ceiling painting. Last two sides were the wooden orthodox churches in Szczyty Dzięciołowo and Pasynki, where paintings of Augustyn Mirys are located. Tour ended with dinner in Ptasia Osada near Narew river.

 

    • “Antoni Herliczka trails”

      Organizer: Tour Guides Club at RO PTTK in Białystok
      It was an open bus tour arranged by me and Tadeusz Daniłko, a tour guide from Dolistowo. Tour was dedicated to Antoni Herliczka, painter working in Bialystok for Jan Klemens Branicki’s court in second half of XVIIIth century. During tour we visited mostly the places where art of Antoni Herliczka can be seen. It was Branicki’s palace in Bialystok, where two wall paitings titled “Parys judge” and “Pan and Syrinx” can be seen at outdoor walls of Branicki’s palace; the oldest church in Bialystok (white church) where ceiling paitings of Antoni Herliczka can be seen and archbishop’s palace in Bialystok, in which wall painting titled “Three men visiting Abraham” can be seen above the fireplace. After that we went to Choroszcz, where reconstructed ceiling paintings of Antoni Herliczka can be seen in the Dominican church at the market square. We visited also King’s Zygmunt August lake near Knyszyn and a wooden church in Kalinówka Kościelna and ended our tour in Dolistowo, a village near Biebrza river, where Antoni Herliczka made altar paitings in 1790s. Unfortunately these paitings did not outlast to our times. Tadeusz Daniłko guided the tour members through his home vilage Dolistowo. It ended at his farm with campfire.

 

  • “Old-time Zabłudów County”

    Organizer: Tour Guides Club at RO PTTK in Białystok
    It was an open bus tour arranged by me and Izabela Szymańska. During tour we visited Hasbach family and Krusenstern family palaces, Maria’s Untainted Heart church and orthodox cemetery at Dojlidy, regional muzeum in Bialostoczek, remnants od Radziwill courtly park, St. Roch cemetery and orthodox church in Zabłudów, orthodox church and remnants of courtly establishment in Topolany and ruins of palace in Hieronimowo. Then we had lunch in Michałowo. After lunch we visited film and old photography studio in Michałowo and memorial dedicated to German victims of IInd world war in Grabówka. Tour guidance was provided by me and Izabela Szymańska.
